This video is a sneak peek into the course where I walk you through the scenario, how I set up the Quick Base, and a demo of the Approval by Email API button IN ACTION!

FULL DISCLOSURE: The step-by-step walkthrough of the API formula is only available in the paid course (learn more here).

Email Approval Scenario:

  • Once a task is completed a notification is sent to the requestor for approval
  • The requestor wants to indicate approved or not approved via the email notification
  • If approved, the task can be marked as closed
  • If not approved, the requestor adds notes explaining why

Email Approval Objective

(with one APPROVED click):

  • Request Quick Base sign-in
  • Update record with approver name, date approved, add note, and update phase to "closed"
  • Redirect to a Thank You page

(with one NOT APPROVED click):

  • Request Quick Base sign-in
  • Update record to clear approver name (if any), clear date approved (if any), add note, and update phase to "blocked"
  • Redirect to a form with focus on notes field in edit mode

This video is directly from the Quick Base Junkie course Secrets of API Buttons for Quick Base.

It is one of many examples where I walk you through, step-by-step, the scenario, setup, formula, and live demonstration of a Quick Base API Button in ACTION (not to mention all the training and resources to build your own API buttons from scratch)!!
