What if I told you you could modify a multiple-choice field without opening the record OR using Grid Edit?

And, what if you could choose an option directly from a table report, kanban report, calendar report, or even a timeline report?

With 'Select Next' buttons you can!

These buttons allow you to cycle through a list of choices with each click selecting the next value in the list of choices.

In the Secrets of API Buttons for Quickbase training, I teach you, step-by-step, how to do just that!

This tutorial is a sneak peek into the BONUS section of the training where I walk you through the setup and a demo of the select next menu option API button IN ACTION!

FULL DISCLOSURE: The step-by-step walkthrough of the API formula is only available in the paid course (learn more here).

Select Next Menu Option SETUP

Pick your 'select next' field (7 or fewer choices):

  • Multiple choice (Status, Phase, Location, etc)
  • User (Assigned To, Sponsor, etc)

Add a new field:

  • Rich Text Formula Field

Add the new field to:

  • Reports (Table, Kanban, Calendar, & Timeline)

This tutorial is directly from the BONUS section of the Quick Base Junkie course Secrets of API Buttons.

It is one of many examples where I walk you through, step-by-step, the scenario, setup, formula, and live demonstration of a Quickbase API Button in ACTION (not to mention all the training and resources to build your own API buttons from scratch)!!
